I was concerned about the air filter, but with the space I have, not much else was going to fit.

Did you see an improvement in performance or are you just getting better longevity? The wrangler is a 4 L gasser and when I crunched the numbers it should be more then adequate for the 12H-T. Toyota had huge air filters on the land cruiser. I assume it was for longevity over performance. (Does a 3B really need access to that much air?). Even my tundra with a 4.7L has a smaller filter then the jeeps.

What Donaldson did you go with? I looked at them but didn't find anything that would fit.

That truck was so many years ago I could not remember which filter housing I went with, skimmed through a catalogue and found one with the right size, inlet outlet and ordered it.. The filter has that pre turbine looking thingy that dumps heavy crap before it hits the filter.

I liked the design..

Your coil over is looking killer..

On my last truck I was running 16" Ballistic c/o's.

At speed offroad I could see the thing flexing a bit and it is pretty burly as you can see. See meaning just the tower tops through the hood.

The RuffStuff towers are supposed to suit a 12" c/o, that is what I bought. Taking measurements from the King specs on 12" c/o, holding the tower in place, ect ect it seems like it will work out just right. But looking at your pictures it seems like no way the RS tower will work. So ya, I am interested!

Cheers

I like that burly cross members on those towers! I initially was going to use a piece of .120 wall HRW and I am glad I went with a piece of .250 wall DOM.

A buddy of mine came over yesterday and we got the inner fenders roughly cut and in in place as long with the outer fenders. And it's on tires! The truck is sitting about 2" higher then I would like but I expect the coils to settle. Plus I need to get the batteries, winch and bumper installed so that will bring it down some as well.

I forgot to get measurements but I will do that today.

It sure is nice to see my 61 on a set of tires with no leaf springs sticking out the front!

I bet man :D You've done a fantastic job thus far.

Going to treat us to any pictures of her back on tires?

RMP&O the distance from the top of the frame rail to the top hole for the CO mount is 16" I had room to about 2.5" taller with the hoops but my axles would not have been wide enough to use the full droop without hitting the bumps stops with were they are mounted.

Remember too that I have a wider axle up front then the stock 60 series as well.

Still lots to do. Clearance fenders, clearance frame for draglink, brakes, batteries, air filter, intercooler etc etc...

Nice rubber.

I thought you might recognize that rubber. It's going to be tight....

I hope to get started on the fenders this week sometime. I quit my job so I hope to have some more time for this. ;) I have been working on getting the shower installed, the hydroboost done, brakes lines made, PS completed ect.

thanks Mookie.

Here's a shot of the PSC pump. It's almost a direct bolt up to the 12H-T PS pump bracket. I did drill a third hole for a third bolt but other then that is a great fit.

yup, you can replace all the belts with it on.

quick update.

drag link almost parallel with the ground. track bar is a perfect match. Should work out OK.

clearance issue resolved. I need to do the same on the other side.

fender trimming has begun.... I basically moved the flare up as far as it would go and started cutting. The front corner is going to need to be raised.

Are you going with Iroks or big toyos again?

sent with smoke signals

I am going to run the toyos until they wear out or I find a buyer for them and then go with an Irok/Michelin combo for offroad/onroad.

Love how the cruiser is coming along Brad. Teach the youngun to weld and grind and get this thing rolling again. Any shakedown runs planned? Were off to moab in 3 weeks if your ready ;)
