Hey guys,

Do you realize that the Coal Mine Cruiser Classic 2008 is but 3 short weeks away?!! Yeah, the EC4RJ is this weekend and I know many of you are attending, and that’s a good thing, however….

I was able to view the list of the registered participants for CMCC ‘08 yesterday, and guess what? None of you have registered yet! Not a single ALCA member. So go on line to the Gotham City site, download the forms and get ‘em in TODAY! The organizers need numbers for planning purposes (camping, meals, etc) and without knowing how many are coming, it’s impossible to plan.

Remember that this is the only TLCA Sanctioned event that takes place at Rausch Creek, right in your back yard. The GCLC needs your support.

Gotham City Land Cruisers

( PS The numbers are so low at this point that there are grumblings about possibly canceling the event altogether unless more registrations come flood in over the next week or so. So quit procrastinating and get registered!!!)

Mailed mine in Monday. It should be there today.

Coal Mine

Mike- your information is faulty. I registered more than a month ago and have received my confirmation. I'll surely be there.......Gary S

Aaah...there's always one in every crowd! Geez Gary, how'd I miss a name like Schmach on that list!?? You're right there under OMD (Don Waters).

OK, now how 'bout the rest of you slackers??? :grinpimp:

PS Gary, I have your GSMTR t-shirt, size XXXXXXX-Large :o

I'd like to go, anyone have a good rad for a 60? Mine's leaking pretty bad and I don't want to drop 300 on a new one.

throw some stop leak in it and go on with it : )

I am officially (unless my inlaws change their plans) not making it to CMCC. My wife 8 months pregnant and my inlaws needing me to help out with my nephew in a bad way is the reason. That's all I can say, I am bummed.

Radiator

Chris- I believe I have a good 60 rad here- yours free come and get it. Before you make the trip let me know, though so I can verify. Gary S

Thanks Gary, I will hopefully give you a call either this weekend or next, to come and pick up the other stuff and hopefully a 60 rad!

is it $135 regardless of how many days you go? And, you have to join TLCA? This could be an expensive weekend...

I am down and out dam Chevy truck punched out my rear door. Sliders helped no damage below the door. Will catch up with you guys another time. One less Chevy on the road!!

Got Gary`s and Bill`s app and yours too Mike.Plus 5 or so that I need to enter into the data base.We owe Gary a shirt, how did you know?Sorry you won`t make it Jeff.

Bump for Coal Mine.

Gary S and young Chris B are the only two ALCA members I see who have registered thus far? Guys, we need your support for this! It's not too late to get your apps in! Print them up and get them into the mail today!!! Heck, you can even pay with Paypal today and they'll likely take a hand delivered waiver and application next Thrusday at the event...

In any case, get 'em in and lets have some fun!

Now wadda-ya say?

i dont think me and dom are going to make it, the buggy is down for some steering upgrades, $$ is low, and there's too many other projects to finish:doh:

wow, Mike.... what have you been puttin in those Wheaties?

This is a tough time of year for families with summer vacations and such..... I am guessing interest may be off this year because of the cost of fuel (and groceries and tires and on and on and on and on) as well.

Hey Guys and Gals,

This is a very important event .... I am sure everyone is doing everything they can to attend.. that being said, wheeling is a luxury that sometimes cannot trump the demands of life as we all know.

Hope it is a great event, hope the cards fall into place so I can make it.

Typical or not?

Mike (and all)- I believe not registering till the last minute is typical especially for those guys close enough to drive to Rausch Creek in an hour or so. Not you or me, Mike- we've already registered. I always register early to try to support the Gotham City group- this is a quality event (best we have by far) and deserves to be well attended. I fully understand that family commitments, work obligations, and lots of other things take precedence over this wheeling event, but I still would love to see a great turnout from the club. It's in our back yard and a great opportunity to share trail and social time with fellow club members as well as other members of the land cruiser community. Let's have a great turnout and a great time at the CMCC next week!!!!! Gary S

Well, I should be registered. Dave said he saw my app and paypal says my payment was sent. Guess I should have written "member of ALCA" on my form...
Times getting short. I'll be there Wednesday afternoon. See you all there!

Thanks, Gary. You make some good points for the event. Late registration is fine. I understand other commitments often take precedence over luxury items. Sometimes folks just need a kick in the pants to get moving!

And to you Bill, I saw your name pop up on the list after Dave's input of the weeks registration forms he received hit the data base. I'll be there Wednesday afternoon as well. See you then.

And there's nothing going on in my morning Wheaties, Rob! At least nothing that will show up in a urinaysis! Just trying to drum up interest, that's all.

Off the soapbox for now.

i believe that i am all registered and cannot wait for this event! it will be my first full event! and only my 3rd time wheeling in my own truck at RC!
