CO2 install?

I have used C02 for years in my 40 with a 20# tank mounted to the roll bar. The 100 has me looking at compressors, there is simply no GOOD spot to mount it, even 80's have the slide open windows which open a few options for mounting a tank on drawers and out of the way. I'd suggest either on a swing arm tire carrier or go with a compressor.

My 20# tank costs $22 to swap out and the place is only about 5 minutes from work. I'm into my system about $100 for a tank test, regulator, hose, and hose connections. Granted I had a friend give me the tank after he found it on the curb in his neighborhood. Its really convenient to use for me and I'll often use it for tire filling at home as well as house projects like brad nailing and whatnot rather than connecting my air compressor and waiting for it to fill up. Plus I can carry my CO2 in the house for those little projects as well.

I'd like an ARB compressor for my rig but its not in the budget for now and I've got other things I'd rather have in front of it in the cue.

I've had a few requests for the KISS Drawers to integrate/accommodate a CO2 tank but have steered clear out of my personal opinion that a bottle of pressurized toxic gas should not be inside a vehicle.

In the event of an accident if anything punctures that tank or tweaks that valve stem anyone inside has to be getting out FAST before they can be overcome and killed. Is it likely? No. Can it happen? Yes. Is it a concern if the bottle is outside? No. Problem solved.

With our lifted, racked & loaded trucks rollovers (where folks can't open doors now) are even more likely than when they left the factory, and with my 2 kids in the backseat usually any risk that can be mitigated, is.

Just my .02
