I feel like I’m really going to regret this, but I’m throwing in the towel on my 80. I’ve poured my soul into it, but it’s just not the vehicle I need. I have an immaculate LX for when I want to get 12MPG and climb mountains but I need a new(to me) track car or something that can be a dedicated crawler. Here’s my CL Ad: 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser (FZJ80)(3x Locked)

I’m at a point where I don’t care much the about the money anymore, I’ve spent loads bringing the truck up to where it is, and I just need to cut my losses. A $6,000 MUD price seems fair to me, but do let me know if you think I’m out of line in asking that.
Also, compression is even across all cylinders, and the 1FZ-FE is as healthy as can be.

Dang! I am almost in the market, that price is attractive. I don't even know what needs to be done on an 80 with that kind of mileage? I mean when are they truly at the end of their life?

Land Cruisers, in general, don’t really “die” per say. My list of repairs are what I deemed necessary to address on a high mileage vehicle. As long as an FZJ80 is maintained well, and you’re proactive in terms of knuckle rebuilds, cooling systems and common leaks, they don’t really die. Rust, in my opinion, is the only thing that can truly kill a Cruiser. These vehicles are built to such a higher standard and mileage doesn’t effect the Cruiser in the same way as it effects most plebeian(LOL) vehicles. The odometer is a maintenance reminder, not a lifespan. Maintenance is far more important than mileage.

Price Drop- $5,800 to MUD Members. Just received a full set of door locks/ignition tumbler with key that I don’t need, and that will be included in the sale. Trying to get this animal sold!
