80 dudes: Red-Cone run

CB Channel 4:

8am: Meet at Longmont (NW side of Safeway store on Hover and 17th St see http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad...zipcode=80501&search=search&searchtab=address

Will go out-of Longmont to 119 into Boulder and then via towards Golden, then 6 and onto 470. From there take the Fairplay exit onto 285 up to Aspen Park. Meet at the Coney Dog (small yellow building with a hotdog on the roof see http://www.epinions.com/trvl-review-6ADB-303DBFC4-39A66FC0-prod5 at least one person thinks they have the best hot dogs in the world!)
9:30am Coney Dog, Aspen Park location: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad...ss&address=&city=aspen+park&state=co&zipcode=

From there its about an hour to the trailhead. Once we get there (est. 10:30-11am) we'll regroup and check a vote on the sequence of trails. Steve will be leading and he runs a 60 so long-wheel base with his Swampers. Should be over Red Cone by 1pm and for those wanting to head back early can go via Webster Pass to Montezuma and out via Loveland Pass. Depending on excitement level/adrenaline, breakages (if any) and generally well-being we can take some optional
Missouri Gulch may also be an option for those that want to have something challenging :) I'd recogn its an 8 and possible body damage but do-able depending on trail and how good a driver u are - not forgetting some Lady Luck !

Red-Cone http://www.4x4trails.net/db_view_trail.php?trailNum=133
Radical http://www.4x4trails.net/db_view_trail.php?trailNum=128

Anyways the trail will depend on group and may split into two after Red Cone depending on timing and general feeling.

Last year we had two tires blow out and some body damage (Missouri) and it was late by time everyone got back. We'll look to stop for a meal afterwards depending on timing.

Make sure u bring plenty of photo eq for pics
PS Don't bring anyone that's not ok with heights! The scenery is pretty outstanding.

Let me know if anyone is interested in hitching a ride. Please copy any other 80 dudes that may be interested (Rising Sun?) and not on list.

Email me back who is coming and where they want to meet up.
Have 4 definite (4 80s, one 60) and 2-3 maybe's.
