If GCLC needs some help it would be nice for our clubs to get together and pitch in. I'll cut but not with Witter. He almost dropped a bunch of trees on me last time.

CMCC update

Yes, CMCC is on again!!! I believe the current president for Gotham finalized things just this week with Lynn for the dates previously scheduled at Paragon. Oh, and for the record, it offically titled; "Coal Mine Cruiser Classic". I hear many calling it the Coal "Miner" Cruiser Classic but there ain't no miners with Land Cruisers in attendance, at least not at any of the events I've been at over the past couple of years!!!
Additionally, I've been working as the point man for Gotham eye-balling the local campgrounds around Rausch as our needs for a place with facilities (bathrooms/showers/etc) is paramount to everything else, and the available campgrounds in the area of Rausch Creek are very limited. Keep checking with the GCLC over the next couple of weeks for updated information.
Sorry I've been out of touch lately. I tend to hibernate in the winter and become, well, anti-social. Should the weather warm up in Feb, or at least find it's way above zzzero, I might be able to make the monthly trail ride at Rausch. Can help with trail cutting/pruning/clearing days in the spring, too.

I just shelled out for a brand new Husqvarna 455 Rancher Tool-less

simply AWESOME saw! I'm so used to McCullough and Poulan POS saws that this is like a Rolls Royce!!!

I'm willing to come clear.... As long as I can keep the firewood!!!

BTW: this 8 deg F crap has got to go!

Nice saw! Did you ditch the safety chain yet? I have Stihl around that size with a 20" bar--I forget the digits on it. Could have a lumberjack competition at Rausch . . .

safety chain? it has the pro chain which is supposed to be the same as the lumberjacks use. I know it looks like a cartoon chainsaw the teeth are so agressive!

Here's mine!



the safety chain is the anti-kickback, slow-cutting OSHA chain. BORING! i traded mine for a full-chisel, take no prisoners chain--probably the same kind you have. Hmm, thread hijack, anyone? I will help clear trail if my schedule allows it. the saw needs the work.
