So on my LS swap with Mark's 4x4 bellhousing adapter, the clutch slave mounting point spaces the salve off the bellhousing to clear the LS starter boss:

I'm running into an issue where the hose barely touches the bellhousing and has resulted in a very small leak in the hose. I think I have the following options:

1. Space the slave another 1/4" or so away from the bellhousing. Will this create too much angle on the pushrod and make the clutch feel funky?

or

2. Find a 90* adapter or hose with a 90* end to go up instead of out of the body of the slave. For this, does anyone know the fittings type / size to try and find an adaptor or hose?

Is there enough thickness in the bell housing to ease it a little to clear the hose?

Convert to -3AN and use a 45* adapter to get it away from the bellhousing.

go by a hose place and see if they can make you one. if you cant find a fitting maybe do a short hardline to the flex

no pics as it was awhile ago, and it was in a 60, but the last one I did with a Mark’s adapter I ran hardline from the slave cylinder up to the back of the cylinder head and mounted one of my line tabs to move the hose up there away from the exhaust. And then I used a double-female hose (I believe from Cressida?) to a new shorter hardline on firewall.
Kinda of a lot of work but came out very clean and OEM. Slave needs to be 85-87 version as it has inverted flare fitting instead of copper washer.
I actually need to make the same setup again for two customers very soon.

Thanks for the ideas everyone and the detail @cruisermatt . So I am running an OE '78 slave and you are saying I can't use the hardline extension strategy with it due to the fitting type on that?

correct, your 78 cylinder should have a deep threaded hole without a flare, and a copper sealing washer for the hose.

Aisin CRT-021 is the 85-87 Slave and has an inverted flare style hose like a typical brake hose, which means a typical brake tube and fitting can fit as well. I have them in stock along with stainless M10x1.0 tube nuts, and stainless line brackets if you want to go that route. I tried to go back through my old pics and find the one I did can't find them unfortunately.

Much appreciated. Do you have an ecommerce site?
