Clutch booster help sourcing (1 Viewer)

Hi guys

I am in need of a good clutch booster for my LHD BJ70 CDM spec with 3B mine is making an annoying noise, very similar to how my brake booster sounded when it was going out. I am not sure which clutch booster to get as toyota has discontinued and none of them offered from china match my factory 31440-60040 clutch booster part number - I see two variants on ebay with the longer rod, which I assume I need based on having the extended mounting plate and being LHD one is 31440-60030 and says its for BJ70, although when I gave my VIN number they said they couldn't help me which didn't bring confidence. The other one I see says its for a BJ60/HJ60 31440-60050. I have attached the links below

does anyone know if either will fit?

you could go with a non-boosted type. my ute came that way and I drove it like that until I did the rhd to lhd swap. I still had my boosted one from the bj70 I parted out. then when ever its time to replace your clutch you could go with a uniclutch which has a softer clutch, but still good strong clamping force.

Took a couple of weeks though.

I’d prefer to stick with the booster, I like the nice light pedal especially in traffic. I am in Ontario although I could ship it somewhere I suppose.

Do you guys think either of my options on eBay would work? I was thinking of getting the one that says it’s for an bj70 and keeping my OEM unit for rebuild. Does anyone know if the RHD and LHD clutch boosters have different rod lengths? That’s my main concern is the rod being the right length.

I just bought and installed an 24volt internally regulated alrernator with vac pump, direct from china I was very surprised at the quality of the unit. But I am keeping my old Japanese alternator for rebuild. Either way Alibaba has a good variety of 70 series parts, some impressive stuff these days, lots of aftermarket sheet metal listed as well.

What kind of specialist shop?

They do high end restorations and have secondary business rebuilding brakes and hydraulics.
I got a lifetime warranty when they rebuilt my clutch mc and booster.

I bought one from China too. It turned out to be a rebuilt unit from a 12H engine. One of the oil line connections was damaged and crudely filed or machined. My machinist said he thinks it was damaged on purpose to discourage rebuilding. Probably my vendor mines a junk pile.

I ended up finding a good used unit from cruiserparts with any luck it will solve my problem.
