Anyone have a clutch alignment tool to loan? Preferably closer to Olathe than NKC. I tried several parts stores and the dealer. No ones seems to even be able to get one, much less have it in stock. I got my motor back yesterday from the machine shop after a 7 month wait, and i'm itching to get this up and going again. Apparently the parts came in via the slow boat from Japan.

I can bring one with me to work tomorrow. 4-35 and state line. Will that work out for you? I work at the hospital, if you can't find that building then your looking on the wrong side of the interstate at the cars..
I can even leave it in the security dept in an envelope with your name on it and you can pickup over weekend as well.. Lemme know.

Thanks Erik, that would be great. I am out that way for a lunch tomorrow so I could stop by afterwards. Around 2:00 ish. I was hoping to make some progress this weekend so that will go a long way towards helping that.

I work in Human resources for the hospial. If you come off 435 at the Wornall exit first entrance to hospital on right, stop sign go right.. big covered circle that says "Heart" something on it.. Go in that door, veer slightly left, you will find HR at approx the end of that walkway on left..
my extension at hospital is 35705

How did the instal go? No big hurry to get the part back if your still undergoing vehicle surgery. Hopefully you have a climate controlled garage or it would SUCK to have been working on something this weekend.

It's in.

It's in. And no ac. I've got heat in the winter, but for now I have to settle for a couple box fans and drinking a lot of water. I'm really humping to get it done by Tuesday. My daughter who is the intended driver of this one, returns from a mission trip to Mexico Tuesday night. And I would love to pick her up at the airport in it. It's not looking too good at this point.

I went to Molle to get some parts today so I ran by the hospital to bring back your tool. Sorry I missed you, but I left it with someone in your office. Thanks very much.

BTW when I was at Molle, the parts guy asked to see my TAC card in order to get the discount. He was being a bit of an arse about it. He finally caved and gave me the discount. Does TAC actually have membership cards? Because if we do, I'm pretty sure I never got one.

Thanks Again.

I can give you a hand tonight to get some things done, if you are working on it, otherwise I am off to Camp Naish for Bear Camp with my son in the Am tomorrow.

Cheers!

I've been working on the LC from 11:00AM to 2:00 AM. Made some decent progress. A few wires I can 't identify. I'll have to take pictures tomorrow and post in tech to see where they might belong. PO kinda stuff.

Kelly, wish I had seen your post before now. I'm still working on getting internet access at the place where I keep the LC. Have a great time at camp. I've got 3 girls and they never got into camping much.

Latest progress picture.

This just reminds me that we need to get the contact list finished, so we can call each other.

You're a great dad for doing this for a very lucky daughter. I am partial to that color. Reminded me of mine that I sold a few years ago, and now sits in a garage in TX.

If you need more help, PM me, or call 816 five 0 nine five 182. I'll see if can help.

Here's a couple pics of wiring I'm uncertain about.

First pic: There appears to be no wire coming from the loom to connect here. Is it possible it's not necessary?

Second pic: PO addd the red wire at the end. It appears to be spliced to a black wire. The connector near where it's spliced doesn't appear to have anywhere to go.

ignitor, no wire correct. pretty sure on that one.. '
Next wire your looking at probably was a new thermo sensor or carb cooling fan sensor pickup. you'll have to trace it back to whatever color it originally went to and check the FSM. the loom your into appears to be the carb fuel solenoid and the temp sensor. they might have moved the oil pressure sender with that wire.. Unsure right now. Probably one of those 2 depending on year. some had the oil pressure sending unit on the drivers side back low some on pass side by filter.

Got it. Thanks!

Thanks for the input and ideas. I'm leaving the black one alone. As for the red one, I finally found a pic showing it grounded to the fender. That was confirmed by a schematic sent by exrsa1.

Thanks all.

No membership cards the parts counter has a member list, you do need to go the counter on the car side (not the truck center). If you have trouble again ask for Tim, Andrew or Bob. or give me a call 8 523///8082

Apparently Andrew is who I was speaking with. I spoke with him again on the phone today and he said the member list dates back to sometime in 2009. Is an updated list easy to forward on to them again. I only joined in March. So I'm definitely not on the one they have.
