ok so like we talked about from last nights meeting.

we are going to go to K2 in October to do some wheeling and camping. if you can make it please post up that you are going to make it. this should give you plenty of time to talk your self into going.

the gates open October 24th-27th (Thursday-Sunday). this is an event that the park is hosting
(this is the last time they will be open this year until next year). the 3day event is $80 buck with the dinner and drivers package & $25 buck for passenger. so let's try and get a a nice size group to head down.

i plan on heading down on Friday and coming back Saturday night or Sunday morning? the weather should be nice and cool by then at night. so pack a light jacket just in case.

Never having been, is this suitable for a rig like my 60? The site makes it look like you need a rock buggy.

yep it will be cooler.

for the most part you do need a buggy to do alot of the harder spots but there is enuff stuff for us to do. this is the same park that the Dallas chapter host the lone start round-up each year. so if you ever plan on going to the LSLC round up here is a time to go before hand.

I'm interested in going, but the government shutdown has moved around/postponed/cancelled the scheduled drill weekends. I don't know if I'll be available that weekend anymore. It depends on how long this goes on for and how soon I can get my other car out of the shop. So I'm a maybe.

yes there are bypasses on some of the trails but for the most part we won't need them. i don't plan on hitting any really hard stuff. just watching the hard core guys mostly and wheeling the back 40 (easier stuff back there).

i plan on heading heading out friday mid day (noon'ish)

any one that wants to join us out there look for my 80 hunters & 4runner. i am going to try and camp near the main road to the left once you pass the pay booth.

Looks like it's going to be wet this weekend. Might as well wait till the next weekend and go to K2.

K2 is out for me. Not going to pay a bunch of money for one day of wheeling. So instead i'm going to Hidden Falls to pay a bunch of money for at least some night wheeling and all day Saturday wheeling.

Sorry guys, I just can't pull the $ together. Elise's work has come to a complete halt and that's kind of a big deal at our house. Have fun and really wish I was going.

i talked to Randy out at K2 and he told me 1 day wheeling would be a day pass cost (20 or 30 buck?).
i will be heading out in the mid morning. hope to see some of ya'll.
