In order to accommodate member who cannot make it to the regular meetings, we are having the upcomming meeting in DUNCAN on Saturday Nov 22. We will meet for breakfast in the morning and then do some wheeling immediately after breakfast. Exact times and location will be posted up later. Does anyone have any suugestions for restaurants, or trails?

I vote for seapotato to be in charge of restraunts and trails.
any seconders?

well, don't come to duncan just for me, pretty good chance I'll be working and won't be able to make it anyways. Won't really know till closer to the date.

I won't be wheeling my bj70 while it has to function as a daily driver anyways. I don't trust the clutch to survive anything difficult.

So if I do make it, I'd be parking it and hitching a ride with someone.

That said, pioneer house is usually good food, or Jerry's Diner for your basic greasy spoon.

That's all I got, haven't been wheeling since 1983 so I don't know much in the way of trails.

cheers,
ryan

well I have an extra seat for you Just because you don't wheel your truck don't mean you can 't come with us.

Whats the adress of Jerrys dinner and are they open for breakfast.

This will be a exploration trip so all ideas for a starting location will be taken.

Yep, I know I passenger's are welcome, and if you guys come up here, then I'll certainly try to get the day off. If it's just an exploration sorta mild day, then maybe I'll bring the 70, but it's got a few too many issues for any real wheeling.:frown: ( that and SWMBO would be a tad P.O'd by dents or scratches.....;p)

Really don't have much input for trails, skutz falls is reasonably convenient, some folks went out there at some point this year didn't they? Mt Sicker is sorta done from what I understand.

The Copper Canyon Road right by my house is a huge network of logging roads, theres a couple of lakes that are nice, but it'll be a snow fest by late november. I tried to get to the lake in september last year and didn't make it....

But it's pretty much logging roads, not sure whats there in the way of decent wheeling trails. I do know a guy tho, I should ask him, see what the scoop is.

Jerry's does breakfast. It's very much the classic truckstop greasy spoon, big ol' plates of food , pretty cheap, not spago's by any stretch of the imagination, but you're certainly not hungry when you leave....

Not sure of the address, but it's about a mile north of the highway 18 turnoff, right on the highway. Hard to miss, there's a traffic light there ( only one around)

cheers,
ryan

I have a seat or two left. Their will be some more seats that might need to be filled.

Thanks Jeremy, I will talk with big Jay the tard and see if he wants to bring out his FJ40 also named the big blue tard with black hood.....

Whos your buddy Jay?

im kinda more partial for fenden for urself for breakky goes....then eating after we're done wheeling for the day, by the time we finally hit the trails it will be noon and then we try to get a days wheeling in on that. but...im not a fan of wheeling in the dark if we have problems, where as you can always eat dinner if its dark and rainy/crappy out...either way ill be there. just a thought though

I'm at work that weekend.

I was up on Sicker last week . It's not cut that bad but you need a pretty good rig to get on any of the trails . Not really a good idea for anything resembling a daily driver . Hamburger hill is the easiest entrance. As far as copper canyon goes you could probably get up to holioke (don't know if that's spelled right ) but not sure . I was up there about three weeks ago .There could be snow there now . There is a little trail just past the bridge at ten mile on the left that goes down to the forestry pools . Pretty fun , but short . There is also a trail in ladysmith that the sidewinders run but I forget what it is called . If Flyinglow is out there maybe he could tell us where it is ?

Uh, I'm here now but a little late... work has been total chaos... something about water in a transmission, and not in a truck unfortunately... The trail is Snakes and Ladders but not to wagon friendly. I got lost last time I tried to find it so good luck if I had given directions.

Hope you guys had fun where ever you ended up!
