If any of you lads could suguest spring lift configuration eg main & wrap length . I am going to keep this thing sprung under .

Cheers! Fitting 35's will be tough, but not impossible. I know Aussie laws regarding suspension modifications are strict, much stricter than on this side of the pond, but if you can swing a shackle reversal in the front, and use longer anti-inversion shackles (see www.man-a-fre.com, "4+" anti-inversion greasable shackles" and a suspension lift like OME. you should be able to fit 35's without any fender/guard trimming.

The *KEY* to this is going to be the wheels/rims you use, you want to stay within the 8" wide or below range and make sure you got the right backspacing.

I've seen it done and have pictures, a good friend of mine ran his FJ60 like this for years.

G'night!

I run 2.5" lift springs and 2" over regular shackles and 35" MTR on 8x15 rims. I will rub a little on the front left if going downhill and I bounce into a hole. Never rubs on the right side. I attribute this to my fat ass. The back end tucks up in there just fine. I will rub a bit on the inside of the wheel wells when twisted up. A 1" body lift will fix most of this. I did trim the front of my fenders on the bottom under the headlights. Took off about 2" or so.

Oh yeah '88 FJ 62

You can see the trim in this PIC

I too just trimmed the front lip of the fender. The place I rubbed the worst was the front of the inner fender. I unbolted the inner fender, then cut the front lip that it bolts to off, then tack weleded it back in. I'm running 35's on a 2.5" spring lift and a 1" body lift. I've got 2" over stock shackles coming in the mail to me
