Alright, I've got some issue with the climate control in my '01 LC, and I want the panel of experts (ie, anyone but me) to weigh in.
The temp control dial doesn't work right. The vents blow out really hot air all the time, unless the temp dial is in one of the three coldest detents. Turning it all the way CCW (full cold) makes the air really cold. In between, it's sort of unpredictable. There are about two little detents between full cold and full hot, and the output air is somewhere in the middle.
For what it's worth -- when I turn the dial in these last three detents, I can hear a little servo turning. The duration of the motor running seems to correlate with the amount of temperature change. Anywhere between these last couple of detents and the hot end of the dial, there's no noise.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any idea what it will take (time/money) to fix?
