Oh OK I'll admit it, I don't run helium in the rig anymore. :flipoff2: I've moved up to argon, or xenon depending on availability. Either one is lighter than helium, so depending on availablity I tend to go with the lower price. :flipoff2: Anybody throwin a bone to this panty waste douche-bag :princess: needs there head examined.

Not to hijack this thread or anything (like I would really be ruining it), but WOT, what the %#@& is your avatar? I've been staring at for 20 minutes now and I can't figure out what it is.

Before it was stationary, not it's moving. WTF?

Do yourself a favor and DON'T find out what it is. Just pretend it's a flower or something.

When my rig starts clicking, that's when I know it's time to change the flux capacitor. I never thought about the muffler bearings though. I'll have to check that next time.

Slee has a link explaining the ins and outs of 'correcting' the points on the flux capacitor...can be much cheaper than replacing the whole thing.

Ah Rookie - Why didn't I listen to you? A F#$@ing ear bug?!? That is beyond disgusting.

Not to be a complete science geek, but isn't helium lighter than both argon and xenon. All are noble gases but the atomic weights of xenon and argon are much higher. Sorry, I've got too much time on my hands.

I once had an anti-rattle spring for the front caliper pads corrode through. The remaining piece of the spring (like a wire sticking out) caused a subtle, grazing sound, once per revolution, and audible both at slow speeds (5mph) if someone runs alongside the front wheel or at highway speeds only when there's a concrete barrier or something on one side to reflect the sound back to your ear.

You may not have heard, but using neon gas is far better than even the xenon. It's properties prevent rocks from becoming stuck in the treads, raise mpg, and increase the rebuild intervals for the birfs. In addition if you run a white/red wire from the flux capacitor output with a ground to the caliper you can cause the white letters on your tires to glow when you apply the brakes (Mount letters out for full effect). Color changes with the increase of pressure on the brake (break) pedal. PM me if you want the schematics

Hydrogen is the lightest, obvious by its position on the periodic table which designates it as having one electron, thus its light weight. (H has an Atomic number of 1, He of 2)

I had a good chem teacher. No I'm not a science geek. Really. :flipoff2:

Its also flammable. :D (As we all know from that little mishap with the German dirigible)

Wondered about that when I posted it but didn't have my periodic table handy and couldn't remember. Sides I figured somebody on this board would correct me.

so H2 would be great for reseating a bead then...? :D

e999999999999999999,

No. Dihydrogen oxide is preferred and used by all of the big tyre shops and race teams.

OK, Beewee, go do some flammability experiments with dihydrogenoxide in your kitchen and come back and tell us at what temperature it starts burning, eh.... ! :D

I have some experience with Dihydrogen oxide. It's pretty stable at 1 atmosphere, but will become gaseous just above 200 degrees F (212 for the technical types). I've never known the stuff to burn, but, to be honest, I never really tried too hard to burn it.

Although I use it for many applications, I don't think I'd use it to charge my tires.

Good stuff. Comes in a variety of container sizes. The imported stuff can be a little pricey.

Gawd, my wife can burn dihydrogen oxide without even trying.

ever wonder what the occasional forum visitor and/or newb must be thinking of us...
