The drywall is finally done on my addition! I've done almost all of the work on this myself, but decided to contract the drywall. As in everything that you don't do yourself, there are a few issues - the big one being that they didn't do a great job in masking off parts of my stairs and window cases before spraying the texture.

These are both wood (oak on the stairs, birch veneer plywood on windows) that was previously stained and has at least one coat of polyurethane. Any suggestions for getting this off? There is also some spackle on this stuff as well.

Thanks

Water will remove most drywall mud and texture.

Ya, it's all water soluable. Plain water and a rag should soften and take it right off.

Chunks will come off with your fingers or a plastic putty knife easily. Water will clean up the rest.

Ok, thanks guys!
