I have used electrical contact cleaner, carb cleaner, brake and component cleaner, containing 1,1,1 Trichlorlethelen, seems to only work short term... Component replacement is inevitable....

Good luck!

We use 100% Hydrocarbons to clean electrical components. It's a very quick drying clear solvent that leaves no oily film. I Think Carbie clean is the same thing. read the can you are looking for 100% Hydrocarbon. Regards Rodney

In the FSM they specifically caution not to clean the throttle position sensor. It's ok to ignore that warning?

Good info!

Thanks!

I use contact cleaner for the TPS itself and throttle body cleaner from 3M for the TB itself. TPS really is not expensive and worth it as the spring wears over time and gives you a funny acceleration curve
