Out of my price range, but if someone is looking for a 1 owner, rust free truck this is a good candidate.

I went to check out this truck earlier today, definitely a great looking truck. Paint is immaculate, save for a few rock chips and door end chips. Interior is in great shape too, driver's front seat has some wear on the bolster from getting in and out. Under carriage is clean, rust free, only a few area of browning where the welds meet.

To clear something up, seller is not the first owner, he works for Lexus as a service adviser and bought this truck from one of his customer, PO was in the military so the truck has been in many areas including Wisconsin, but i didn't see signs of rust that would indicate it was driven there during the winter. Tons of service records and recently had the major 90K miles done. The only area that caught my eye was the steering rack seems to have a leak, it's damp, not sure if the rack is leaking a lot or slowly but the boots are definitely damp. Engine idles smooth and doesn't leak anything. I wasn't able to test drive it because seller said he doesn't have insurance on the truck, but pretty sure it'll drive like new.

Just doing some research in case anyone out of state might be interested, i am a mechanic i know these trucks well. It's definitely a nice well cared for rig, however i think the price is a little steep being an 03, not sure if the seller is willing to negotiate much from my conversation with him.

I emailed on this over a month ago and the seller said he would get back to me and he never did. He said he had a ton of interest and he had to take the CL post down. I am not sure why it hasn't sold yet? Something seems off but maybe it's just me. If I recall his original CL post price was much lower.

It hasn't sold yet because it's a tad on the high side for an 03. To me, this truck is worth about $15,000 if I had to make him an offer, it's in great shape, everything has been done so you don't have to spend a dime. Unfortunately, that leaves me with no fun as i like to work on cars, i rather it had some issues that i can fix but the asking price was lower.

What was his price before, do you remember?

Ah, that would be much more likely to sell. We'll see, i'm not in a rush to buy one, i 'll keep my options opened. Ideally would want an 03+ with 150K miles or so for around $12,000 so i can just buy with cash.
