Clarification: Lift Gate Tail Light Assembly for 2005 LX470 (3 Viewers)

Hello,
I was recently involved with a hit and run in a parking lot where the tail light on my 2005 LX470 was broken.
I am trying to find the replacement. After a bit of research, I am confused a bit.
The part that is broken is the light-gate light on the right side.

Based on my VIN, sometimes Part number: (81581-60160) is shown as a part for 2005-2007 LX470's.
However, on some Lexus Parts WWW sites, they say that is not the correct part.

I called a Lexus dealer. They gave me a Part Number that is "Discontinued," (81580-60080) full assembly or (81581-60080) Lens Only
It appears that the lights for 2003-2005 are different than other model years.

The 1998-2002 lights clearly look different. However, some listed on ebay for 2006-2007 look similar.
Unfortunately, the ones listed on ebay don't have the part numbers listed.

Does this sound correct about the different parts for different years?
Is it possible to use the part (81581-60160) on a 2005? (does it look different - would I need to replace both sides?
If not, does anyone know where to get the correct part?
