Lifted my 200, went up about 2" total, and now under acceleration I get a clanking noise from the front end. While working, my drivers side CV Axle came dislodged and I played with it until I got it back together and got everything buttoned up. On my test drive, once Im going about 15 or so and give it some gas, the clank comes. It feels like its a rotating clank as it happens over and over again. One thing I have noticed that the inner cv axle looks like it sits low within the boot, if that makes sense. At full droop on passenger side, the inner cv axle coming out to the outer axle sits more towards the middle pointed to the middle of the outer boot. For drivers side, it sits lower in the boot pointed towards the outer boot. Is the cv axle toast or is it just something else completely? I will post pictures in a few.

Thank You.

Best photos I could get.

That is 100% your clunk. It looks like be axle has been over extended. I see some marring on the dust shield too.
That’s what I figured. It was definitely extended for a period of time, daughter wanted to help out, but it’s all good. I’ll go pick up a new cv axle tomorrow and give it a shot. If all is good I’ll rebuild this one and keep it as a spare. Thanks for the quick reply.
