This looks very nice for $5500!!!
Anyone know whose it is???
Land Cruisers of this vintage set the standard for reliability and off road capability and this truck is no exception. For those of you not familiar with the FJ55, this truck essentially has all of the running gear of an FJ40, but has seating for 6 and room for all of you gear too. 1977 was one of the best years for these cruisers, as it has the unstoppable 2f motor, 4 speed transmission and front disc brakes. The engine runs great – very strong and very smooth. Overall his truck is in pretty good shape, but don’t come expecting a show car – it’s made for going off road, so there is no reason to pretty it up too much! This cruiser strikes a good balance of looking good without being nice to the point that you don’t want to use it for what it’s meant for.
Upgrades:
--Front and rear A/C
--Custom front bumper built to hold Warn winch
--Con-Ferr Roof Rack
-- 3 Yakima blockhead bike mounts, mounted on the roof rack
--32” Mud Terrain tires on upgraded chrome rims
--Headers and custom exhaust (including a high-flow catalytic converter, making it MUCH easier to get through emissions)
--Trailer hitch
Recent work:
--New air pump
--New water pump
--Rebuilt Carb
The bad:
--Odometer is broken (I think the truck has about 140K miles on it)
--Stereo is not hooked up
--There is a very slow oil leak from the transfer case
--The window tinting isn’t in the best of shape
--Needs new belt to drive the A/C compressor
Additional stuff included with the truck:
--HiLift Jack
--8 fuel cans (for those extra long offroading trips!)
--Hitch mount gear platform (rack that mounts into the trailer hitch to carry more gear)
--Stock wheels
--Just about every service manual available (Toyota 2F Motor Manual, Toyota Emissions Controls Manual, Toyota Chassis & Body Manual, Haynes Land Cruiser Manual)
--Electronic ignition conversion kit and new coil (all new in box, I just never got around to installing them)
I know I am probably forgetting stuff, but that is all I can think of right now. Email me with any questions or if you want to come check out the car. Asking $5,500
