Hey guys,

My truck just started this last night: it has a hard time running on its own, needs the choke pulled quite a lot. Sounds very chuggy, clunky at idle (and only idles around 300-400).

Sounds almost like it is missing a cylinder, but I can't tell for sure. Haven't had any time to properly check it out yet. Just wanted to see if you had any ideas.

Anything's appreciated.

Jason

Smogged or de-smogged?

Smogged.

EGR tube has been cut in two by PO. Dunno what this qualifies as.

Could qualify as your problem depending on where it was cut, and whether or not the cuts are plugged etc. Can you post a picture of this?

Mike,

Yes, I'll try to get a pic up ASAP.

Looks like they tried to plug the cuts, but I think there could still be air getting in (or out).

I am going to check the plugs, wires, carb, etc. tomorrow morning.
