Hey strangers!

I know I am a slacker and not active but what up? Good pics but I don't see any trophy tree shots like we had last year. The wife and kids want to cut a tree this weekend. We also have a friend with a new 60 that wants to go hunting. He bought that one that was on So Stage for a while.

Anyone on for a tree run this weekend?

I will see if I can get the wif to commit to a Sunday tree run. This is the last weekend of bow season so I need to be in the field one day.

I had a feeling that's what it was... where is that road and what kind of condition is it?

goes from merlin to gold beach over them thar hills.

its a single track sorta blacktopped road.
at the top is was high and steep on both sides.

i recommend it when safe and with a group

Bear Camp Road goes from Galice to Agness. During the the summer, I think it is a beautiful mountain road, doable in a family sedan. During the winter it can be a nightmare with tight turns on steep hills and "y"s that can fool anyone when everything is covered with with snow, or so I have read.

Bear Camp road is the first place I boiled my brake fluid dropping in to Galice. It is the "short cut" to the coast. I haven't done that one again!

I need to kill an elk tomorrow so we got our tree today. Sorry I will miss the run but the freezer is empty and I got mouths to feed!

hey, sorry we were so late! Wish we would have had time to get there sooner and play in the snow more. Glad we could slow ya down tho'.
We made it up thanks to all the trailblazin'.. No chains, no probs. Nice snow but it sure was getting torn up on the lower roads..
