Meet at the Divide Philips 66 at 8:00 am. We leave about 8:30 7:45 am. Leave about 8:15 and go to check in with the Forest Rangers at the Rule Ridge parking lot at 8:30. That is where we air down and get a briefing on the latest conditions, areas to patrol, FS radio issue, magnetic sign issue, maps etc.

Remember to bring a GMRS radio, recovery gear, winter clothes, tire chains, coffee and lunch.

We do a debrief with the FS Rangers at 4:00 pm, return FS gear, air up and go home.

Please reply to this thread if you plan on going on this day.

I will be going on this first Sunday.

We had a great day. Vic, Dave, Bill, Jeremy, Randy and David were the crew. Vic and took his group to the North and David took his to the SouthWest. We all met up at the junction of 364 and 363. It is a nice sunny place and we get to see the fun as different groups try their best to make the water crossing. Today we watched a 2rear drive ATV try his best to make the crossing. He failed and his buddy backed in with a rope to haul him out. The real excitement happened after 2. We were passing out stickers and coloring books we we found out that a group could not find their 10 year old boy. We got our group together, notified the Forest Service and started to search. Just as we started the search, the adult of the lost kid said that they found him. I seems he decided to play hide from the parent out in the woods. He was safe and that is all that matters.
