Just a heads up guys, a 1973 fj55 pig will fit almost perfect on the the Chevy Blazer (1998 what I used)2 door chasis. I'm having the conversion done now & it's almost finished!! Stoked, I'll have power steering, brakes, Ac...etc! Everything the blazer had. Just made a lot more sense when my 3 speed started slipping in 3rd gear & it's almost impossible to find the parts or someone to rebuild. For the same $ almost...this conversion can be done!

I do have the original 1973 fj55 land cruiser chassis , straight six motor, tranny, gas tank, radiator, brakes & seats up for sale now if anyone's interested....message me.

So you needed a $200 clutch that you can buy anywhere and decided to undertake a body swap onto an IFS chassis?

You did a full body swap for $200?
Nope....it wasnt the clutch. Something with the 4 wheel drive popping out of 2 wheel drive back into 4 high when in 3rd gear. We looked everywhere for the parts but it came down to having to find someone that is able to rebuild the gear box etc.

Why not? Would love to see some pics.

Yeah we need more pictures.

Let’s see...power steering, front discs, overdrive transmission, modern suspension, fuel injection, more horsepower, less engine weight and parts at any Autozone in any town. Hmmmm...
Interested to see and hear how the body and chassis matched up.

This was in the beginning of the mod rebuild. I should have more photos further along in a few days to a week

Here are a few more photos below that are further along in the process. You can see how nice the blazer 1998 motor fits right into the landcruiser body under the hood. I did opt for the rims off the blazer...powder coated them. Sticks out just slightly more for a wider stance than before. Almost all the brackets underneath matched perfect & easy welds to the frame.
