Check Oil Light..? ?

as the title goes....

it keeps coming on. then off. then on real quick. then off.

sometimes it's on for a minute or two. then it's gone.


is this a common issue? i'll have to take it to my mechanic to check it out, but i wanted to know if this is a relatively common issue.

my oil pressure gauge gives me standard readings all the time, in the H range when driving and mid-H range when just standing...it's just the check oil light that bothers me (especially at night)

The check oil light comes on when you're a quart low (sometimes less) and will continue to go on and off until you top it off. If this isn't your problem do a search on the sensor -

Mine does that too when the oil's low.

Please, PLEASE, say you checked the oil level before asking this question.

If your fuel light was blinking, would you fill up or ask here? Sorry if I sound like a dickhead.
