My check engine along with the "trac off" & "vsc trac" lights came on today while on the higway. Did a 120 mile round trip. This happened a few miles after I had just filled up with gas. Super unleaded was at $2.05/gallon, so I said "why not" and filled it up. I normally just use regular unleaded. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance...

Is this on a 4runner? Best bet would be check the codes via OBDII at any parts store. Then we can figure out what the glitch is. Maybe that was just its way of smiling after the tasty drink.

Ya, go to Autozone and have the engine code pulled for free via the OBD-II port. Then go from there.

FYI, the "vsc" and "trac" lights go on as a default every time the CEL trips. So it doesn't mean it's actually a problem with the vsc or trac system.

How many miles on your 4Runner? Your O2 sensor is probably the culprit.

BTW, the premium gas won't do anything for your rig. It's made to run on regular and you should only be putting in regular.
