Hey guys I got great responses in my first thread so I thought I would get your input on something else. I am looking to purchase between 7 and 10 Scepter Military water containers. I know there are other threads on here about choosing the best water container but none of them had updated info on where to get the best price. I already have a bunch of Scepter MFC's that are green so I am looking to get water containers that are a different color. I prefer black but I will go with the cheapest because I prefer low cost over looks. So any color but green. I am only interested in new containers because they will be for water. Here are the top 2 cheapest places I have found:
1. Scepter Military Water Can
This brings me to $373.64 USD with shipping for 10 MWC's (I am getting the desert tan because they only have tan and green and like I said before my MFC's are green)

2. Scepter Military Water Can 20L BLACK
This brings me to $399.70 USD for 10 black MWC's

Please help me find a cheaper source if possible. I want to put in my order ASAP. Also, to keep it tech, if there is a better rugged dependable water storage container out there I am open to suggestions (please explain why it is superior to Scepter). I think these are the best though... Thanks for your help!

I've used Lexington (your 2nd link) & they are great guys. I guarantee if you call them & tell them you want to buy 10, they'll cut you a decent break on the price!

You'll have a hard time beating that first price, but a really, really great deal if you do. Still good value at ~$32/each.

I got a bunch of desert tan ones a few years back. Maybe they're not so common anymore? I'll bet black are hard to find. I've never seen any, but that's usually a tough crowd to see who uses such...;)

Would be good for setting up showers, though.

I went with option one. Option 2 Lexington did help me out with a 5% discount but the first one was still cheaper. Thanks for the replies!

Just to let ya'll know: option 1 just dropped from 32$ to 27.23 a piece!

try LCI industries. same as scepter. i bought them many, many years ago for $ 17.00 shipped. while that price is gone they were way less expensive and they were a direct ship.
lcindustries.com

I just saw this thread and was able to order a single can from LCI for $24 - what a deal!

Thanks All,

J

What's differnce between these and scepter ones?

LCI uses a different molding process. Scepter cans you can drive over, LCI no way. LCI is a direct knock off of the Scepter was permitted by the US Gov't because LCI employees a large number of blind workers. Scepter is Canadian so they don't get the same Gov't preferential treatment. Moulding process is very different. Its difficult to put it in a post until you have both side by side, then it becomes obvious.

Thanks for the info. Was just curious I just bought a scepter water and fuel can from another mud member. I haven't got them yet but looking forward to adding to my ever growing pile of parts for the truck. I'm also going to try adding the garden pump sprayer that I saw you did in another post. Thanks

I'll be making those available as a kit pretty soon. I'm adding some more cow bell to them first. ;)

Lol, sounds good, I'll probably pick one up at Home Depot and go threw my basement for a old sink spayer from one of my customers houses that was extra.

If you have a compressor you can just add a shrader valve to the lid, a spigot, and a peace of PVC and can make a pump free shower:D

wits end sells the cans! support the locals on mud!...you can search and search to save a buck or two but at the end of the day, only mud vendors spend the time to help all of those that ask for help!
