We have a little over 2 weeks till our big annual meeting. First weekend in Feb.
Those that haven't been to the farm meeting it is our big meet and great where we announce the officers for the year, trips for the year and try to get as many old an new members there as possible. Camping is Friday and Saturday night with the actual meeting on saturday day.
Good food, beer and people. Food or at least lunch is normally provided.
Very family oriented, so if you haven't brought out your family yet this is the one to do it. No wheeling (except the RTI ramp)

I'm most likely going to leave saturday morning to get there.
I will also try to set up a caravan on friday night for those interested in leaving on that day.
It is in Denton about 90 minutes from Up Town. Not far at all 85 just about the whole way or for a more scenic route we can do 49 then go up 109.
Let me know who is going and i'll get a meeting time and place depending on who wants to go. Lets get a big turn out for this one. :grinpimp:

You want me to do the Q again this year? If so, I think we will be better off renting a cooker. I think it's like $60 or something.

Al, I won't know if I'm able to go up until maybe the week of. Marlyn is recovering from surgery so she definitely won't be going.

I might have to catch a ride up there Saturday morning if anyone is coming back to Charlotte the same day.

i am probably in for Saturday, Day at least and I am working on the evening as well so I can camp out...

Wasnt it really cold last year?

Friggin' freezing last year. 17* last year, and getting up at 6AM to get the pork started was not fun :)

I'm in! We will probably head up on Friday, but I haven't asked the boss.

Depending on how many are going to be their friday we might head up to help set up. And by set up I mean drink lots of beer.

I might be able to get you up saturday am but I know that I am for sure camping saturday night so we'll have to play it by ear. Maybe some others will post up that are drving up on saturday for the day.

This is what I am thinking as well...I like to set up.

Good i'll supervise you. Can't let you get out of hand or anything :grinpimp:

My wife, kids and I are planning to just go up for the day on Saturday at this point. Doubt the caravan will work for us as I am sure that, despite the relatively short drive, we'll have to stop for bathroom breaks with a recently potty-trained 2 year old.

I'm assuming this is the farm park where the thresher's antique tractor show is every 4th of july?

No this is at Greg's family's farm in Denton. He'll get the details of what is happening there shortly.

Are you planning on making it to this one? Would be good to meet you.

Is there anyone that is planning on comming back on saturday evening that might be able to bring Jorge, OB-1, back to charlotte.

I'm going to try and make this one, assuming I'm not called in to work. I'm working today and tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have a few w/e's off. I would love to road trip the 40, too bad she tops out about 55mph... It's been drove to uwharrie and beat on several times, and drove back, so driving to denton should not be an issue.

I'll have to wait till a week before to have a definite answer.
