Ha! I get to pick, so I'm picking Mt Pleasant. (Actually, it's just that I can give directions to that one.) Andolini's Mt. Pleasant is on Coleman Blvd, about 4 blocks from Shem Creek. Take the new (Ravenal) bridge into Mt. Pleasant. Stay in one of the right two lanes and that will dump you out on Coleman. Blvd. There is a stop light at the end of the ramp from the bridge. Go through two additional lights and Andolini's is on the left.

The first two pizzas are on me.

I'll PM a few others that I know are in the Charleston area to drum up support.

I assume these directions are not valid for anyone coming from the North, right? Can you get me there from "Get onto highway 17 and head south until..."

Also, what about those who may be coming from N.Chuck. I would guess it would be something like "Take 526 toward Mt. Pleasant ag get off at..."

I'm tentatively in. I may be down in Florida that weekend so I can't promise anything.

Andolini's is the best 'za in Charleston.:flipoff2:

A mixture of Mapquest and my own directions:

You'll be coming South on 17.

Right after you pass under 526...
Merge onto I-526 BR E / CHUCK DAWLEY BLVD toward SC-703. go 1.7 miles

...to a T intersection. There will be Royall Ace Hardware right in front of you(big wood building).

Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto COLEMAN BLVD / US-17 BR / US-701 BR / SC-703. Go 1 mile

It's on the right just after you pass over small Shem Creek bridge.

From N.Chuck, it's practically the same. Take 526 towards Mt. P which turns into I-526 BR E / CHUCK DAWLEY BLVD toward SC-703(as above) and follow directions.

Or - You can take 17 south until you cross over the bridge into Charleston. Then turn around, take the bridge back into Mt. Pleasant and follow the original directions. :grinpimp:

Robertson huh? Any relation to William Francis Robertson, MD(1834-1875) or his father Francis Marion Robertson, MD(1806-1892)? Just curious.:D

Reminder to all - Our first gathering of Charleston cruisers will be noon on Saturday at Andolini's in Mt Pleasant. I hope to see you all there.

For those who have been following this thread, we met as advertised and had some pizza and talked Cruisers. We were well represented with a 40, 45, 55, 60, and 80 there.
We also talked about the possibility of starting a new sub-chapter of Upstate Cruisers to cover the Coastal and inland areas so we wouldn't have to drive all the way to the upstate for monthly meetings. We decided it would not make sense to start a totally separate club, as there is noplace to go off road around here.
It was nice to meet everyone. See you on the trails!

A few more pics from the Charleston gathering. It was great having the opportunity to meet everyone, and I look forward to future get-togethers.

One last picture - it doesn't really fit in this thread, but since I mentioned him at the gathering, I figured I'd introduce the newest LandCruiser fan in Mt Pleasant. His name isn't final, but I'm thinking that "Cruiser" might just work. He's a 3mo old beagle who joined the family last night.

It was great meeting everyone. Hope to get together again soon and maybe find some wheeling to do.

So did ya'll come up with a name? I'll get you a sub chapter put up under UC forum that way you can have a place to organize your meetings and such.

Get to see so many different cruisers make it out.

I think we like "Lowcountry Cruisers" as it kind of counters the "Upstate"

At least that's what I gathered at the meeting. Anyone else have thoughts?
