YEAH BABY! It was a rough game, but a win nevertheless.

And the Gaiders lost (anyone surprised?)

BTW: I watched an interview with LT (you may also have seen it) where he said he didn't want to make too many TD passes/ATTs because he didn't want incompletions. He wants to keep his stats high.

Go Chargers! A hard fought win. Here's hopin' they don't break our hearts at the end of the season.

Hell yeah, hoping the ballsy move to fire Shotenhiemer pays off. We might do well in the post season this year. :bounce2:That was the most emotional 3 - 0 game I have seen in a awhile. Could have stayed that way if Chicago didn't have so many turnovers toward the end.

They really only had one turnover and that was the punt that hit the guy the rest we caused fumbles.
It would have been a little less exciting if the refs hadn't blown that off sides call at the one yard line. We should have won 24-3 with that touch down and no blocked field goal.

Agree totally. I was pissed about that missed call but we held together and I think it will be ok in the end that the program knows that they can win even with bad calls that cost us 10pts. Kudos to the big D for causing almost all those fumbles, and Grossman for the other. :flipoff2: They need to protect the ball better with a heads up defense like the Chargers.

I'd hate to break it to all you Charger fans, but you've got Norv Turner as the head coach.

SD replaced Marty for Norv? :whoops:

Norv's record 58-82-1
Marty's record 192-118-1

Both of them are proven coaches, one a winner and the other a loser.

By the way, I'm a Browns fan and they absolutely suck. So don't tell me they suck, I already know it.

Hey, I put my trust in AJ Smith. He has been kicking A$$ with draft picks so why not a coach pick. AJ really didn't have a choice to let Marty go when both coordinators left. That is what doomed Marty. Were we supposed to stick with Marty and integrate two new coordinators for the one year on Marty's contract? Then integrate a new coach the following year if Marty didn't stay?
So Norv is really just the easiest transition to a new coach. He invented the offense that we have been using since 01 when he was our offensive coordinator, LT and the older guys know him already and he is known as a Quarterbacks coach which is good for our second season starter.
But only the season will tell but as for his past he was with two crappy teams and neither of them have done much since he left.

Go Chargers.

Did the Chargers play yesterday? I must have missed it.

I did however, watch the Patriots play . . .

That was a little too painful to watch. I decided to watch Mariano Rivera almost blow it instead. At least one team came through. Barely.

Painful indeed. I couldn't watch the end.
