SOLD Central Pennsylvania F engine for FJ40

I have a Running F engine assembly from a 1972ish era Toyota vehicle, pulled form an Fj40. comes complete with bell housing and 3 finger clutch. I will provide water pump, Tstat housing and intake/exhaust manifold.

Hello, just curious if that oil filter is just hanging in there or it is actually meant to be installed in that location?

I had questions about that myself. I did some research and either the PO installed a remote canister kit or this engine did not come out of an FJ40.

This looks interesting, normally an alternator would be there on these motors. Is it possible of some more close up pictures of that area, wondering if there is a provision on block itself to mount oil filter, if not then what kit PO used to make it possible. F.5 motor should have filter mounted on other side. Thanks in advance.

No there isn't an oil filter adapter but looks like a regulator of some sort. I don't think its a F.5 motor but an older version of the F. Like I said I think this engine may have been in another vehicle line or I have heard of remote filter canister modifications and changes to oiling system due to a flaw, maybe the previous owner did that,
