So I must be doing something wrong. If I pull the lever to roll/tumble the drivers side second row seats forward all is well. I pull the lever up and fold the seat bottoms down and both latch. I pull the lever up again to set the seat backs up into position and the center seat lower latch opens.

So the center seat can rattle around. Wtf am I doing wrong?

Its a half pull for the seat back reset, are you sure youre not pulling too hard?

Could be, as I'm basically pulling the lever like normal. I'll try with a little pull. Wish Toyota had down a push down on the lever to set the seat back upright

My first world problem is having to walk around to both sides… haha

OK, just went out and tried that, having the same problem. So if I roll the seat back, they're both locked. If I barely pull up on the lever so I can set the seat back where I want it, the center seat bottom unlocks and rattles around over bumps. Help!

Dang! Sounds like the innards are screwed up.

The internal cabling mechanism is not easy to get to as far as i know. Tried to remove my third row headrests and they are all internally pinned…

Sorry doc. Warranty?

Kinda doubt its under warranty, it's a 2018, so 5 years old

Maybe try sitting in it when you try to adjust the seat back position.

From what I've read in other posts in the past, the center seat feet tend to struggle with staying locked in, mine does the same from time to time. I am going to try the suggested method sitting in the center seat while adjusting it.

Hmm, ok. At least its just not my rig, although I only have 35k miles on it. So not a whole lot of use for that seat to latch/unlatch....

Welcome to the club doc! The hype is real!

my center seat rattles too. Didn't when new. I keep meaning to figure out what is going on. I asked the dealer to look at it while I had it in for my last free maintenance appointment but "they couldn't replicate the issue" which didn't surprise me. Still, quieter than other vehicles i've had, lol.
