That's ridiculous. I bet it'll be a hit though.
My neighbor's who have come to our house an untold number of times looking for their children (they've got 4 boys 8-16 years) finally just gave up looking and bought them all cell phones. It disgusts me to see an 8-year-old walking down the street on a cell phone.

Who'd've thunk the second rider of the Apocalypse would come in the form of a dog cell phone?
Actually, it's kind of a funny idea. The "Call the owner" button is a good idea. But calling your dog just to chat would be a little weird. Kind of like that Val Kilmer movie where he's a genius, and they wire that other guys teeth to broadcast a radio signal - and they tell them it's Jesus talking to him...I'm thinking it would be like that for the dog.
Owner - "Hey there Scamp!"
dog - "WTF? Jesus? Is that YOU?"

I think that's a great idea, although best for a niche of owners.
Could you imagine a GPS unit that could tell you where your dog was? (They list GPS comaptibility as an "optional chip," but I think that's it's best feature.)

I have no doubt it will sell. I think the GPS tracking will go as well. Not so sure about the camera option.
Oh, wait--how does the dog enter numbers into speed-dial? I mean, that poodle he met looked hot, but it's such a pain for Fido to be punching in all those numbers with his clumsy paws. . . . .
Oh great, now I gotta wait for my dog to get out of the driveway while she's text messaging, when I get home.

Perhaps voice activation technology could be used to speeddial!

Don't you have to have something GPS capable to act as the receiver.
Would your dog be calling you accidentally everytime he scratches his neck.
Camera? Is a close-up of a flea's face really a benefit.
Would anyone who found your dog know what to do with the thing, or would they just think your dog was rigged with a bomb.
This is a "pet rock" for sure. It should sell like hotcakes (God only....knows why).

I refuse to carry a cell phone becouse its a huge distraction while driving, at work etc.. But I guees it would be cool for dogs. "cant talk right now, I'm licking my butt"
