On a 98 LC with a 140k check engine light just came on last week. I tried to reset the code about 3 times now, any suggestion and what to look for recently replace rear muffler.

IIRC it's the PS front O2. 5 minute job to replace. I did mine from under the truck with shielding off. Some go thru fender well.

Old o2 just for a visual reference. I use a 22mm crows foot socket wrench to remove. Took me a while to get the wire harness to release, as the PS is the hardest to get hands on.

Same thing with my 02 LC but I think my mechanic was confused and told me it was Bank ONE, sensor one on the DS. Good thing I searched for it on here before I jumped in with both feet.

Getting this code today just come up after I replaced the car with a new battery wasn't showing at all before.Could it be something with battery replacement as car is running fine no issues.

Clear the code and see if it comes back.

Tryed clearing it wouldn't let me so disconnected the battery for couple minutes it cleared it then, but come on after 15 minutes driving. Before i buy a new one should I be checking wires or fuses etc to make sure as car runs fine. Are they common issues ?. It is located PS correct.Thanks.

I've replaced a few. Soak with penetrating oil. Remove wire harness, they stick sometimes from dirt in harness, so take your time. Brake loose front o2 and replace it.

Tips while in there: Make sure you've good air filter, no vacuum leaks, all spark plug are torqued in and no exhaust manifold leak.
