Wow that was easy once I found the damn plug for the switch. It was way behind the stereo out of site. The pin7 only took about 30 minutes, seems like a pretty cool mod, now lets see if I ever get a chance to use it. Thanks Christo, Dan and all the other guys on MUD.
It took me all of about 10 minutes to install the switch. Pretty sweet! I haven't done the pin 7 mod though, yet. I use the CDL all the time up in Reddington pass. It helps a lot for all those times when using LOW is just overkill.
I bought the CDL switch from CDan and installed it (with the Pin 7 mod) last week. I can't begin to tell you what a pleasure it was to drive in 4 Low WITHOUT the center differential locked. It made manuvering on a dry surface in tight spaces a breeze.
In terms of mounting the CDL switch, I don't know what the rest of you did, but I moved the alarm piezo down where the rear heater control is, and installed the CDL switch where the alarm piezo was.
Just did my cdl and pin 7 on sunday. The switch was so simple. It only took 5 mins to install. Ended up putting the switch where the rear defrost was previously and moved the rear defrost down to bottom roll. However, for the pin 7 it was not as easy due to having problems removing the silver box. The screws on the top were striped I guess from the PO. But all in all only took 30 or so minutes. Overall, everything worked out. Very easy mod to perform.
Thanks to Cdan for the great info on Pin 7 and great price on the switch! Also, to everyone else on this board who have provided their info on this mod.

I had mine like that for a year or so and did not like the alarm LED being less visible. The next time I was in my dash, I moved the alarm back to the top row and moved something else (rear defrost?) down to the bottom row. I like the LED deterrent as visible as possible (not that it's gonna stop most deviants...)
