Dear CCOT Customer Service Dept,
I recieved this today along with photos, those rear springs look about the same as my dead flat 1985 BJ60 springs and half of them were broken?
The saga continues... Two things here:
CCOT HFS SPRINGS AND SHOCKS:
As per my e-mail yesterday regarding the lack of arch with my new springs and the lack of compression travel in my rear shocks, I have included some pictures I took last night in case you think I'm slightly derranged. Sorry for the poor quality of the pics but I think the flatness of the rear springs and lack of travel in the shocks is rather obvious anyways. I am fully prepared to uninstall the springs and shocks and ship them back to you or to re-arch these rear springs at the local spring shop. Either way, I don’t feel that this is an expense that I should incur personally as the springs do not have the levelling ability claimed by CCOT.
SHIPPING ERROR (again):
On a related note, your package of the correct shock boots and sway bar extension kit did arrive last night but also included a rediculous customs bill of $85.31 CDN. Upon inspection it turned out your shipping dept valued the sway bar kit and the 4 shock boots at $251.48 CDN (about $191.00 US). The parts have a total value of roughly $36.00 US. Again, a little dissapointed by this latest turn of events. Can you please refund me $85.31 CDN on my credit card. If you will recall, this package was sent to me because you guys messed up the first time with your shipment.
So, to recap. I need a decision from you guys regarding the rear springs and I need $85.31 CDN refunded on my credit card for your shipping error.
Thanks for your assistance,
Simon Bright
PS. I did a lot of research on you guys on the list serves before purchasing. Consensus seemed to be that you guys now have excellent customer service. I'm trying to be really polite about this whole fiasco but I'm starting to get a little upset by this (in Canadian, this means I've reaching my limit eh?). I have an expensive set of springs that don’t do what they're supposed to! Although the shackles are very cool.
