ccot brake kit

I just received 1/2 of my order from ccot. 5 cylinders 4 shoes, no parking brake kit. Anyway, i got started on the rear brakes. 1970 Pig. I have the manual and am pretty sure everthing is in the correct position for the right(passengerside)rear. But the fat end of the shoe doesn't fit in the cylinder.The old ones even had a little play. Also, the pins and clips for the return spings don't seem to aply to my truck. Maybe there was some PO modifications. Any thoughts?
