For those of you who don't know they are traveling for the next 6 months in the Super Tanker. Must be nice.

Thank you for the thread to post our adventures. At last, we crammed everything we thought we ought to have or that we might want/need/think of/desire into the mighty Super Tanker (Ken calls it the Silver Blivet) and headed out from Pickens on October 4th.

We are currently near Kansas City, MO doing some mods in the motorhome. (Man, we need a bigger truck).

A Better Mousetrap

It didn't take us long to figure out we REALLY needed a larger truck (see original departure picture) so we bought a 2006 Nissan Titan in Kansas City, MO and shipped the Frontier back to Pickens. I'll bet you can buy it c-h-e-a-p!! :D

As I'm sure JP will agree, there are lots of 'sights' to see west of the Mississippi. I think I've finally updated our Picture Trail and the new Flickr site with pictures from the past month since we left Pickens, SC. When you are really, really tired but can't sleep, go here -

Sorry about your weather!

Howdy from Jalama Beach, CA! It's in Santa Barbara County on the coast, 20 miles from civilization. Campfire weather at night but we've had a gorgeous week of sunshine!! :bounce: The 'travel trailer' is just 50 feet from the ocean at high tide and there are lots of fun & friendly folks out here. Humpback whale sightings daily!
