After having a headgasket go on my '11 LX570 I decided to upgrade to the facelifted '17 LX since used Land Cruiser values skyrocketed. I know my Slee sliders and rear bumper will transfer but maybe not the Front ARB Sahara. Got my new-to-me rig around Thanksgiving but have yet to get into any exterior mods. I am considering repairing and keeping the old LX but if I transfer the bumpers, I have to find stock front and rear bumpers just for it to be road worthy as well as the labor to remove and replace. So I am now looking at new bumpers (just front for now) and choices are limited.

CBI is about the only option I am seeing for front bumpers on a facelift LX and I also may consider their sliders over the Slee's I could transfer. My question is, why is CBI saying their front Covert bumper and sliders only work on the 2019-2021 LX? I thought maybe it was a typo so I messaged them and they confirmed that neither would fit my 2017. Can anyone tell me what changed from 2017 to 2019 that would make their products not fit the earlier 2016-2018 models? After all, Slee says their sliders fit all LX570 model years.

Thanks for any insight

dissent? victory4x4?
if you want a bumper skid/slider you can replicate what @FlightMedic178 did. that is similar to the cbi approach.

Here's an ARB on a 2016+. Doesn't sounds like it was easy.

Dissent I have yet to see on a 2016+ but they don't rule it out on their website. I'm not familiar with Victory but looks like nice stuff. Again that 2016+ isn't excluded but also isn't shown. I like that CBI didn't change the look too much, complemented the new front end rather than brought it back to the same look as my ARB on my old 2000LC

I actually have seen that one, and it looks like they had a time! Looks like a beast and yet being body colored its not out of place like the others. My new LX is Atomic Silver too so dark will stand out a bit

I don't know why, I'm just not sure that Dissent is for me. Certainly an option though. Thanks for that pic, first I've seen

Maybe I will come around soon, Ben at Slee said they can fit the new ARB Sahara so that is at least a confirmed choice now. 1000 mile drive each way for that install

Not reading the best things about that CBI Covert. Until then I think I'm ordering an ARB Base Rack, got some new Nitto Ridge Grapplers on the way, I will rob the Icon 17" wheels off of the old rig. That should tone down the luxury a bit.

Thanks for the recommendations so far.

FWIW, we recently did the ARB Sahara Summit on a 2021 LX 570. See video on this page

I'm wondering if the black bumper is just throwing these off on these light colored rigs for me. The dissent is looking very nice on the 16+ in that pic, maybe not enough room for the Baja LP9 I have but if a 30" lightbar can go, that should suffice. Christo, that ARB always is a classic and if I didn't want to change it up a bit It would be my pick. Maybe I will consider painting one of these body atomic silver, I know it won't be nearly as durable but its a thought.

Here's those other pictures as promised. Rear bumper works as well.

Definitely not enough room to mount lights on top of the center section but as you mentioned it has room for the lightbar in the bumper.

Mighty fine looking rig you have there.

I especially like the Dissent front bumper as it's one of the rare bumpers to actually improve both clearance and approach. Many of the larger bull bar style bumpers improve under clearance, but can actually impede aggressive approaches as they stick out further forward. This profile pic says it all.

Any thoughts for larger tires?

Not my truck but thanks! It definitely would look better with some bigger tires now that the bumpers are on
