You have a harder time slipping a minor problem past OBDII. Like a temp sensor or EGR system issue. Or missing cats...

Oh yeah! Well, all they do to mine is a visual and tailpipe sniff at idle...so there...:flipoff2::flipoff2:

Another good reason for Full Time 4 Wheel Drive!

I have the best of both worlds - OBDII on a 95, but they only check for it on 96+. Visual/sniff inspection for them, OBDII for me.

Maybe, I guess it would depend on your skilz? IMHO OBD2 is much easier, no visual or sniff. If you can cheat the ECU, could remove the entire EGR system (good mod), the cats (don't see the point), etc. If it doesn't code, the vapor and cap hold pressure, you are good to go.

I think they used a tube cutter on mine, because I didn't see any shavings on the ground and it was a nice cut. A little ruff on the edges though. I read on line, it takes longer to get a cup of coffee, then it does to cut one of these off.

With a tubing cutter you slowly adjust it a little tighter a time to make a nice cut. It you put to much pressure it crushes the pipe making a poor cut. Something tells me this guy wasn't worried about making a nice cut. The reason I brought up the tubing cutter is there have been a few cut off in the parking lot of the Phoenix Public Library in the downtown area during the middle of the day. Everybody nowdays has a cell phone and thought if anybody heard it they would have called the police. Instead it have been when the person started the vehicle they found out it was stolen.

I live in New River. Nobody steals anything here. I'm not sure why...

The sheriff said something about "squealing pigs", but I didn't get the reference. :meh:

"Boy you sure do have a perty mouth, gunna make you squeal like a pig!":hillbilly: New River has had its fair share of stories about booby trapped yards and old guys who will chase you off their property with shotguns. People still steal up here, just not as often as in PHX. Definitely less likely to happen up here, almost everyone has a firearm in their home.
