Seeking some input from those that have some experience. Just did the 80mil killmat and about to add second skin luxury liner pro which is 3/8” thick. Will need a carpet kit after and I’m looking at stockinteriors / rock auto ACC which is the same from what I read on here.

What that in mind, which carpet kit should I order? The regular or ultra plush? Mass backing or no? And what color best matches the tan interior of an lx450?

I have an LX450 and several stockinterior samples.. 8655 Sandstone is the best color match I've found. Its very close. I decided to remove and clean my original.

Thanks I’ll look into that. Rockauto is cheaper but doesn’t have sandstone as an option.

I'm doing something similar to you and will be getting the carpet with the mass backing. From what I've read on here, it helps with noise but makes the install a little harder. If it kills even more noise, then it's worth the extra effort to me. I'll also be getting the ultra plush as well. Seems to be worth it from what I've read on here.

You are adding a decent amount of other insulation with the Killmat and Second Skin, which I think is about what I added with LizardSkin and BoomMat Under Carpet. I would NOT get the mass backing. as all that thickness is going to add up. Neither of the ACC options are going to quite match the OE in color or material, they are more "modern" and less "woven". I have just installed the ultra plush in my 80, and had the standard in my 4Runner. If you want it as nice as possible, get the ultra plush or whatever they call it. There is a notable difference. As you have already found, Rock Auto is cheaper, but MAY not have all the colors, although they DID have more than Stock Interiors.

OEM fronts are still available
I did look into that. However what really needs replacing is my cargo part and it’s no longer available. Technically the stock is decent and salvageable but could be better with a newer one so I’ll just replace all.

I might strongly consider that route then. No mass backing and going with ultra plush.
