As most know...

This years PIG run had alot of carnage. My pig did not make the full trip due to a spun rod bearing, Brian's pig had GREMLINS camped out all over that rig and Jeff's wouldnt run right.

When I dropped the pan, I decided to check the mains before ordering parts. The first main cap came out in two pieces but the bearings are fine.

Has anyone ever seen the first main bearing break?

Thankfully, I had a parts engine of the same year and loaned me a good cap. After plastiguaging the mains, all is fine.

Hopefully when I try and start er up Sunday, everything will work out and she'll be back on the road.

Awsome weekend

Started my pig up this morning. NO KNOCKS!!! YEAH!!!! :bounce: Drove it around the block several times and everything sounds fine. Have a few leaks to deal with but nothing major. I hope to drive it to work in the morning to see how she acts.

On another note....

I started on adapting an IFS power steering setup to my pig today. I am using my parts pig to see what I need to modify due to the lack of front clip. So far, mounting the gear box seems rather straight forward. The only headache that I see is linking the gearbox to the steering column. There are two pluses to this setup, 1. NO CENTER ARM  and 2. Its all TOYOTA!
