Yeah, I know, this isn't as fun as a suspension issue or tires -- but does anyone have any reccomendations for a cargo area liner. I want one that doesen't have cutouts for my pulled out 3rd row seats. I'd like plastic. Is the Husky liner any good? Thanks for any help or wisdom. Doss

The husky is sweet and the cutouts are not cutout when you receive it. It actually covers the entire floor. I wish I had not cutout the spots for seat bases or lock downs. It is a full mat.

The best ones I've seen are these. They make extended versions that go the full length of the cargo area and up the sides (2nd and 3rd row). They also have the "liner" that just covers the floor (no holes) for $80.

we've got the carbox for both our 100 and 80. they rule, if you need really, really good protection for the entire rear of your rig. we got the full length units that go all the way up to the tumbled rear seats. we don't have passengers just lots of dogs. the material is very thick and molded to the specific vehicle. the sides protect most of the way up tot he windows. in our LX the wood (i know :princess: ) in the rear is protected from dog clawa as if the subwoofer and you can just get to the storage cubbies back. the side on the 100 are about 16" and the 80 more like 14". the shorter version would be practical for anyone who always has their rear seats in place. the only problem i have is storage. i've rigged a pulley system in our garage in order to store these things off the floor, should they ever need to come out... they're heavy and awkward and take up mucho space. both have huge static charge issues, so i keep them coated with a little 303. one more thing... i've put 3M traction tape down on the floor, as everything has the tendency to bounce around back there.

the carbox units are nice, but definitely not the right solution for everyone.. especially those that need a flexible cargo/passenger space. but if you maximum protection, then these can't be beat.

Hoser - Do you have one of these? They have one for $330 and one for $80, but you can barely tell when the difference is.

Also, they say it's for up to 2005. Does anyone know of any difference between 05 and 06 that would give me a problem in my 06?

I do not have the carbox but I've seen the "original" carbox style for an 80 series. The original carbox has protection that goes all the up the sides about 18" and is very durable. The carbox II just has a 2" lip and from what I understand is not made of the same "rigid" rubber as the original.

I found a better picture. The Original carbox is like the 3rd pic down. The Carbox II is like the 2nd to last pic. The original carbox comes in full length and half length (fits behind 2nd row seat) for the 80, not sure if the full length one is available for the 100.

AFAIK, there are no differences in the cargo area between an '05 and '06. I suspect the webpage hasn't been updated since '05 and the reason why '06 is not listed.

Thanks very much, hoser.

I owe you one...

This is not very glamorous, but I find it very useful - For each of my vans, Jeep and LC I bought a full size pickup truck bed mat at the local parts shop. I pitch the carpet mats and then I cut the rubber mat to match my application. These things are ultra durable and cheap.

For the cargo area, the original LC-100 mat works very well. Vinyl (I think), with a lip about an inch high, moulded to fit exactly all around the sides and 2nd row seat-backs.

I also use the OEM mat. Fits perfectly. I only cutout the markings for the four cargo tie-down rings (whatever they are called) since I never installed the 3rd row seats. It is a solid plastic, tough enough for me. I found it very expensive, though (94 €, about 120 USD), but I was in a hurry.

carbox: see my post#5. if anyone needs pix, i can accomodate.

I love the Husky Liners. I had them in my 80 and that was the first thing I purchased when I bought the 100. You can spill all kinds of stuff on them and you just have to wipe it up. If you go with it check a couple vendors online as I noticed that pricing fluctuated alot between vendors when I was looking for mine.

can anyone confirm that the 06 and 07 is the exact same template as the 05? carbox apparently fits through 05, but 06 and 07 aren't mentioned.

i don't think anything structurally has changed on the inside on the 100 over the past couple of years, so logic says the carbox liner should fit, but if anyone knows FOR SURE, it'd be nice.

thanks.

my camera is out of commission, so no photos forthcoming. my apologies.

JP- the fit of the carbox unit is quite snug against the sides of the vehicle. perhaps the 2nd row tumble seats have changed or maybe there's some other outcropping that made its way into the rear of the newer 100's? either that or they just haven't updated the website.

as you said, you need to be 100% certain, as you REALLY do not want to return this item to the merchant!

opted for weathertech. took the boy and the pups on a walk around the palos verdes cliffs at trump's golf course and the stroller found some mud and filth. all of the cutouts in the OEM carpet mat seemed to be the places the most dirt/mud fell.... had to make sure the weathertech doesn't come with the cutouts already removed. they said it's one solid piece.

took the 3rd row seating out and put in the overhead storage in the garage. will just remove the cargo liner and put the carpet mat back in whenever i have 3rd row seating in place.
