So I think I've narrowed my rough running 2f down to the carb which is kind of cr**py because I have know idea of how to go about rebiulding one:bang:. I've seen some chat about Jim C. rebuilding carbs, does he do this for anyone or do you have to know him? How much would it cost? any other rebuild options and is it even worth it? does anyone know of a shop in western washington that rebuilds carbs?

any info would help and be greatly appreciated.

yes Jim will rebuild your carb. He's a very nice guy and does a great job. If you use him patience is in order. He is a busy guy. I got a core carb from a member here on mud and sent it to Jim. $300 and 10weeks later I got it back looking good as new. If you pm me I can give you his phone #

Also, you might want to try Mark A.

He is also really good at Carb Rebuilds.

He might be able to get to it quicker, but you'd have to ask him what his turn-around time is.

I dropped of my carb to him last Wed and he should have it ready either today or tomorrow. I considered using JimC as well. But my ONLY hesitation was the turn around time. I've talked to some people that have claimed a two week turn around and others that say they had to wait nearly 2 months. This just wouldn't work for me. The other benefit to using MARK is that he is local to me, so he can test drive my 60 before and after and help fine tune it. Its a win win. As far as price...well we'll see what it ends up and see if its comparable to JimC. Heck maybe I'll even to a write up about it.
