Used the search function to death, and didn't reeally find what I was looking for.
The carb on my 2F is the original '84 Aisin carb. Here recently...like this last week, it all of a sudden didn't want to idle. Well...Sometimes it will, but for the most part as I coast to a stop, the engine tries to die. I can keep it running, by tapping occasionally on the gas pedal, but need to get this fixed.
Has anyone had this problem, that was a sudden problem, not a gradual one? Am I looking at a rebuild? I thought at first it might be a vacuum problem, so when I opened the hood, I could hear a slight leak around the large vacuum line to the brake booster. I tightened the hose clamp, and that fixed that. I couldn't find my vacuum gauge, but when I placed the end of my thumb over the vacuum line while it was running, it nearly put a hicky on my thumb, so I doubt its a vacuum problem. Any ideas? Thought that maybe some sort of blockage on the idle mixture screw is causing it, and haven't ruled that out yet.
