Mine is F206618, guess that means I need the big window after all. I was hoping it would take the easier to find small window, oh well. My son picked me up a small window in Hawaii for $25. If it fits and accepts the cables at leaast it will be better than the carter I have now. Thanks again for the info.

Carb question #2

What can anybody tell my about the carb in the pic. The owner said it came off a 66 f engine. It's been so long since I had an f engine with a toyota carb (1969) I don't recall a lot about them. Even my 72 fj40 had a rottenchester when i bought it. The guy answered an ad for wanting a big window carb for a 65 fj40 and thinks that is what he has. I'm not so sure because it's been SOOOOOO long. After searching the Mud data base I think my hunch is right. Can you help?

Looks like it might be except I think the 66 had teh cut off solenoid. I believe the piece on top is just a adapter used for a aftermarket air cleaner. Looks like you can loosen the screw and take it off.

I just talked to my son. He put the wanted ad up for an early 60's carb for a LC F engine and a guy who responded has this carb. He didn't specify the year, my bad, so it might be off an earlier cruiser.

What was the transition in the windows. I've seen pictures of ones with w rectangular window and then some that look to have 2 different sizes of round windows.

New Question(s)

I was looking at a couple of carburetors that I recently picked up . In the first photo you can clearly see the stamp indicating the date of manufacture, March 5th of 1968. It's directly above the window. Can any one tell me the purpose of the next set of numbers to the right? (60151)

The next photo is of an earlier carb and I can't find a date of manufacture stamp on it. I can find a similar number (60031) but I don't know what that means. If there is a date of manufacture stamp where is it located?
