I know a lot of folks install the carb fan from the 60's on their 40s. does anyone have a pic of how and where they mount it?

Josh: You're welcome to come look at my old firewall section where the 40 originally had a carb fan installed. Typically it fits over the driver's side louvers near the fender and apron. If you buy one, make sure to get any brackets, but I think it was all 1 piece? Would have to look at my fan to be sure. Oh, and I haven't reinstalled it yet on the new alum tub as I'm waiting to see if I really need it or not...
The fan and bracket can separate. I have a '77 that I'm making smog compliance again and had to find one as part of the original package. I found one off of a '77 fj55, the fan is the same but the bracket is different. I got lucky and found a bracket here in the classified so now I'm set. Now to put everything together.
