Cape York, QLD, Australia in a 105 Series

Hi guys,
We recently returned from our solo mission to the tip in our 105 series cruiser. It's been something i've been
planning for quite some time now - and the other half was excited (she's from Poland and was keen to see the real
outback).
Here are a few of our pics, taken with a DSLR Nikon D3000.
Our cruiser recently had a custom rear bar fabricated up by Buds Customs, and went on the night before (11:30pm and
we left at 6:00am the next day!). We were missing the left swing arm as it was left at the powdercoaters by
accident.
Anyway, here's a few pics - i haven't been bothered to name them yet. let me know if you'd like to know about any in particular
The main highlights of the trip were:
*CREB Track (said it was closed but went anyway, as a local said everyone else did)
*Frenchmans
*OTT - particularly Nolans Brook and Gunshot
*Endeavour Falls & Fruitbat Falls
*Driving into Lockhart River Aboriginal Community :crazy:

My home state... I now live in Minnesota USA... My Sister just moved to Mt Isa for a a few years.. hoping the next visit back to rent a Landcruiser and drive back to the Gold Coast where we used to live...

It was awesome. We went all by ourselves which was good, but would have better if our mates could have made it. I think we would have done some more adventurous driving otherwise. next time!

Just received an e-mail from three ladies, we met in Yellowstone NP a year ago, who live on the Gold Coast talking about how warm it was there...as we freeze in Wyoming

It's lovely at the moment in Brisbane at 26.7c (80F), which is cooler than usual for Brisbane. And sadly I'm at work, while all my buddies are camping over at Moreton Island drinking lots of booze.
