Hi, Im pretty new here and did a search for this topic. I currently have a 03 with an aftermarket radio and was wondering if I could replace the tape deck with climate controls so I have the tactile controls rather than having digital on-screen controls?

I was speaking with a guys selling the climate control and harnesses, but said JerryB used to make the harnesses needed to make this happen. Anyone have any experience with this. I read a bunch of the Nav Delete posts, but it looks pretty involved to wire it up without the proper harness.

I attached a pic of my dash for reference. I bought it this way, so I don't know much about the install.

Thanks in advance and I apologize for my ignorance.

yessir.. I searched it. .. was hoping to see if anyone had any experience with actually doing it and could offer some advice

Honestly, it looks like you already have the T’eyes, which seems to be the best realistic option. Just pretend the tape deck doesn’t exist.

Naw. Not liking the Teyes. It is only android programable. I found the manual climate controls and am gonna swap it out with something better.

You need to read the entire conversion thread. There are one or two parts (like a computer board for the ac) that can only be sourced from over seas and they are like a needle in a hay stack, or so I’m told.

Good luck though, and let us know how it went if you are successful!

Ya. Thanks. I have the part as on order from dude in Pakistan. Fingers crossed it actually arrives. Once I have the parts, there has to be a way to make it work.
