What is this thing behind my bumper?

Found this today while getting my LX ready for the new ARB i've got coming tomorrow. I have no idea what it is, but sits directly behind the pass side stock bumper air vent opening? It appears to be some sort of sensor, i've looked in the FSM, but couldn't locate is. The PN on the side is ND...

I always was told that it is an airbag sensor but than I had a few reputable members post up that it is an outside ambient air temp sensor.

@leonard_nemoy lol that as exactly our conclusion as well. The fact that it could have been an airbag sensor was a bit worrisome, but now I'll breath a bit easier knowing that it's a temp sensor.

Just got a non-US 84 FJ40 on BaT and it’s got more issues than I suspected. Trying to figure out a bunch of things, and one is what the heck this thing is. Located under the battery. 5 red tubes that lead to nowhere. Any ideas?
